Big Difference From a Professional Photographer


Photography
is not about the shooting or the perpetuation of a condition in real life, but taking pictures in accordance with a different perspective of the photographer. They can take a variety of images of their choice from the perspective of an impression on the location and encourage love for the audience. This is why photography is an important lesson for those who want to promote their business through photography.

Dictionary of Photography


For you who have been involved in photography world definitely know the terms that are often used in photography. For me and other friends who are still beginners course is very necessary to know these terms to support my hobby of photography and other newbie friends have. I had compiled a list of terms commonly used in photography started from A to Z.

Here is a list of terms in photography:

 A  

A
Auto, that is the symbol for automatic selection of facilities. When the selector is turned to the auto position the aperture diaphragm will operate automatically.

AF
Auto Focus, that means auto-focus camera work without self-discoverer require users to rotate the focus (distance).

AL Servo AF
Advice autofocus option used for photographing moving object. Usually used for shooting sports activities.

Angle of view
Angle shooting.

Aperture
A hole into the spot light from the lens on the film camera.

Artificial light
The light of deliberate human for example photographing flash lighting, fire, etc..

ASA
American Standard Assosiation. Namely standard film sensitivity. Same meaning ISO, just asa first name generally applied diwilayah american.

Auto Program (P)
Automatic facilities to choose normal programmed lighting and high-speed (high speed), subject to the application of short-focal-length lens.



 B  

Back light
Light from the back, that the light coming from behind the object. This light effect can cause any disadvantage to photographers on the lens will cause flare.

Bayonet
Lens seat system that only requires less than 90 degrees of rotation to perform the replacement lens.

Birds eye view
The angle of view in a photo shoot, is an elevated view of an object from above, with a perspective as though the observer were a bird.

Blitz
Lights flash or flashgun. This tool is a functional artificial light replaces the sun lite role in the shooting.

Blur
Blur all or part of the motion picture as a deliberate or accidental at the time of shooting and the effect of its size diaphragm.

Bottom light
The light from the object, also called "base light '. Commonly used as fill light from the front. Function reduces the contrast of the main light.

Bounce Flash

Bbounce rays. Indirect light emission originating from the light source (flash light).

Bracketing
A photograph of the same techniques by providing a combination of varying illumination on an object. Is the general technique of taking several shots of the same subject using different camera settings.

Built-in diopter
Dioptri regulator (plus or minus lens) which is already installed on the camera sight. Commonly used by bespectacled photographer.



 C  

C
Continuous, stating the use of function streak shooting pictures with a certain speed (usually 3 frames per second).

Candid camera
Photo or portrait made by stealth or hidden camera.

CCD
Charge Couple Device, that filmyang substitute chips used in digital cameras to shoot pictures (images)

Center of focus
The center of attention. Often also called center of interest or focus of interest.

Center Weight
Lighting measurements were directed only at 60 percent of the district center of the image (field) photo.

Coating
Providing a thin layer on the surface of the lens. Serves to hold the reflection of light and protect the lens from various mushroom danger.

Cold tone
A tone-conditioned color: blue gray with lighter color tones.

Color balance
Color balance is the global adjustment of the intensities of the colors.

Continuous light
Flash light used for photographing; light can light up continuously (over and over).

Contrast
Broadly interpreted as the difference gradient contrast, brightness, or tone (color) between dark field (shadow) with bright field, or a striking white color once on the object.



 D  

Density
Density or concentration in photography. The more concentrated a color, the darker the color and weight.

Depth
Depth, namely dimensional effects that arise because of a difference in sharpness.

Diaphragm
The diaphragm, that the hole in the lens where light enters the camera while doing a photo shoot.

Distortion
Distortion or deviation form. Typically occurs at pemotrtan with wide-angle lens.



 F  

Fill in Flash
Flash light filler. In the shooting conditions that do not require flash

Film
Media to shoot a picture.

Film Frame Counter
Counters total film frame. Numerical detection showing the movie that has been used.

Transparency Film
Slide color or color reversal film, positive film that is commonly used for advertising, the press, etc..

Filter
Filter in the form of glass (or other transparent materials) that is installed on the end of a lens tube.

Fix Lens
Lens Fix, that has a focal length of the lens (fire point) single, his eyes fixed angle.

Flash
Flash light, that kind of artificial lighting can provide light that can be handled.

Flash exposure compensation
Compensation flash lighting, lighting that is an alternative way of making more or less by using the flash.

Focus Ring
Fire or meeting point ray bundles / light through the lens after berbias or reflected.

FPS
Persecond frame stands, namely ones taking pictures in picture per second.



 G  

GN
Abbreviation of guide number, that's transmitting power flash light which is multiplication of the distance (in meters or feet) and the diaphragm.



 H  

High angle
High view. This means that the photographer is at a higher position than the picture.

High-Key photo
A reference to a photo-dominated white shades.

High light
Bright portions in a photo because light reflection.

Honeycomb
Tool or attachment is shaped like a wasp's nest.

Hot shoe
The hot shoe. there at the top of the camera, work to install an electronic flash.



 I  

Image
The image formed on the film or on the observer curtain.

Incident light metering
Measurement of light falls, that strong measures a light object.

Infinity
The infinite distance to the mark on the distance scale.

Infrared
Infrared, that spectrum beyond the red rays.

ISO
International Organization of Standardization - Using and changing the ISO to improve your photography


 J  

JIS
Japan industrial standart stands, that is a measure of film sensitivity, as used up in Japan.



 L  

Lens
Lens, a tool that consists of several mirrors that transform into a shadow of a thing upside down, scaled, and real.

Lens Hood
The lens cap is used to cover the leading edge of lens elements in a frontal light.

Light Contrast
Contrast of light, ie the sensitivity level of light produced by a light source.

Light meter
Measuring the strength of the beam. Commonly used in the shooting to determine large diaphragm or speed in a lighting condition.

Long Shot
Wide angle of view that give more attention on shooting objects by separating them from the background that may interfere.

Low angle
Low view, that point of view in a photo shoot with photographer lower position of shooting objects. Produce images as if the object is higher than the original.

Low key
Low-key lighting is a style of lighting for photography, film or television. It is a necessary element in creating a chiaroscuro effect.

LT
Long time Exposure, with long lighting for example 2 seconds or more.



 M  

Macros
Macro, advice for shooting at close range. Macro will produce recordings of the object (in the movie) are equal to the original object (1:1).

Macro Lens
Macro lens, a lens that is used for photographing small-sized objects or shooting close range (closer objects).

Magnification
Magnification. Measured from picture film with original size comparison object.

Main light
Primary rays shooting usually comes from the front of the object. Usually used to bring up the form or face objects.

Shoot medium
A more direct view to a tree with the background theme rather avoid.

Metering
Pattern of light measurement is usually divided into three categories: center weight, evaluative / matrix and spot

Center weight metering
Pattern photometry using 60 percent of central image

Matrix metering
Pattern of photometry based on segments and a certain percentage

Metering Spot
Pattern photometry using a centralized point.

MF
Stands for manual focus, that means sharpening or focusing is done manually.

Microphotography
Using films is small, with the aid of a microscope.

Monopod
Or propping up one-legged camera. Function helps to suppress unsteadiness. Often also referred to as "unipod"

ND Filter
ND filter, that filter that works down the beam strength of 2 to 8 times.

Nebula Filter
Filter that produces images with effects that berpelangi radial rays.

Normal lens
Lens focused normal size length, 50 mm or 55 mm, for size 35 mm film. Corner of eyes with the point of view of the human eye.



 O  

Optical Sharpness
Optical sharpness, ie a sharpness that can be achieved for good quality lens.

Overexposure

Zooming Ring
